Att Brechine the twenty seventh day of December seventeen hundred and fourteen years being the anniversary of the Holy Apostle St John.

The following Ordinances and Acts were unanimouslie agreed to by the haill Members of the Meason Craft of the honourable Lodge of Brechine subscribeing the obligement there to subjoined.

 

It is hereby enacted and ordained that every one shall enter himself to this Lodge shall at his entry pay into the Treasurer for the common use and behove of the fraternity the sum of forty shillings Scots money and that by and athers satisfying the company if one of free prentice or Handy Crafts Man, if not and a stranger three pounds scots.

 

It is statute and ordained that none shall be entered to this Lodge unless either the Master of the Lodge, Wardens or Treasurer or but two free Masters and two entered prentices be present att least other wise the said admission will be null and the admitters fined in the sum of ten shillings Sterling Money to be paid into the box and those refusing to pay their fine to be erazed out of the book and tine their freedom.

 

It is statute and ordained that when any person that is entered into this Lodge shall be received by the Warden in the common form that all and every such person or persons shall pay into the Treasurer for the use of the afford said the sum of one shilling sterling.

 

4th Entering and passing in other Lodges

It is statute and ordained that no person belonging to this Lodge shall witness the entry or passing of any person in any other Lodge unless the dues of entry and passing be paid into this Lodge and that under the penalty of ten shillings sterling money.

 

5th Passing

It is statute and ordained that every member of this Lodge shall at his passing pay into the box the sum of two shillings sterling money and that they and others satisfying the company and that none be passed except in the presence of the Master of the Lodge Warden and seving the Members and the contraveeners of this Act to pay into the box forty shillings sterling money or fine.

 

6th Strangers working

It is statute and ordained that any man that comes to work in this Lodge if not one freeman shall pay into the box the sum of forty shillings scots money, three shillings and four pennies scots to the officers.
